Getting Involved in the Hatchery

Student Director: 

Student Directors are the board liaisons to the Hatchery and serve a two year term (August 2019-July 2021) on the PSA Board of Directors representing student interests, and facilitate student planning on educational and social activities. Student Directors are required to participate in monthly conference calls throughout the year and attend the Board of Directors Meetings four times a year. Travel expenses are reimbursed by PSA. Student Directors should be graduate students during the full duration of their term. Interested students should send a brief paragraph describing their background, interest in poultry science, and reasons for wanting to be a student director to psahatchery@gmail.com or utilize the messenger feature on this page. Please include your school and expected graduation date in the email.

Regional Directors:

Regional Directors serve a one year term (August 2019-July 2020) in the Hatchery. These individuals are tasked with communicating with University Ambassadors in their region and putting together quarterly reports on activities within their regions. Students interested in being a Regional Director should email psahatchery@gmail.com or utilize the messenger feature on this page. Please include your member institution in the email or what region you are in. A chart of all regions can be found under the "structure" tab.

University Ambassadors:

University Ambassadors are to serve a one year term (August 2019-July 2020) and communicate with Regional and Student Directors about activities, initiatives, or issues pertaining to PSA within their host institution. They are asked to make quarterly reports to Regional Directors about events held, conferences, awards, or other noteworthy events to the Association. Students interested in being a University Ambassador should email psahatchery@gmail.com or utilize the messenger feature on this page.
