Zinpro Corporation’s Undergraduate Poultry Science Scholarship Award

Zinpro Corporation understands the value of education and the importance of supporting individuals belonging to gender, racial or ethnic groups that have been historically under-represented in the United States, to promote diversity in this industry. Zinpro Corporation sponsors a $5,000.00 scholarship, to be awarded to a rising Junior or Senior undergraduate student in the field of Poultry Science. This scholarship will be awarded to a student belonging to gender, racial or ethnic groups that have been historically under-represented in the United States, based upon scholastic achievement and service and an interest in continuing to learn and promote the role of the poultry industry in feeding the world’s growing population. In addition, preference will be given to those who intend to pursue a graduate education in poultry science or related fields.

Timeline/Details The deadline for application for this scholarship is Thursday, April 30, 2021 at 5:00 PM CST. A committee of three Poultry Science Association members and one Zinpro representative will review qualified applications and select the scholarship recipient, to be formally announced during the Donor Reception at the PSA Annual Meeting each year.

  • Resume/CV (Which shall detail the following)

  • Hours of community service per semester and type of involvement.

  • Honors and awards.

  • Work experience and history

  • Unofficial transcripts

  • Letter of Reference

  • Essay (400 words or less) describing:

  • The importance of the poultry industry feeding the world.

  • The need for sustainability in agriculture.

  • The importance of having diverse representation in agriculture and how you contribute to that diversification.

  • Graduate school goals.

  • Career goals.

career/education goals and essay answer.
