Andrew F. Giesen III Poultry Science Undergraduate Internship

The Andrew F. Giesen III Poultry Science Undergraduate Internship Program is designed to match outstanding life sciences undergraduates interested in exploring career options in poultry science with companies and organizations that produce or are otherwise affiliated with the poultry industry.

The objective of the program is to attract bright young scientists to learn first-hand how science and technology is applied in solving the challenges of meat and egg production in the modern day poultry industry.

​

Applications for the summer internships are accepted through the Poultry Science Association website. Applicants should review the internship award guidelines for deadlines and directions on how to apply.

Targeting Excellence Scholarship

Targeting Excellence scholarships will be awarded by a scholarship committee comprised of national BOD members and regional leaders involved in food animal production. Scholarships will reflect the interest of annual contributors and the participants of the fund-raising events. Scholarships will be awarded to both undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in an agricultural curriculum at an institution that offers degrees in agriculture. Preference will always be given to applicants with a desire to work in some aspect of food animal production.

Diamond V Endowed Undergraduate Poultry Science Scholarship

About the Scholarship

  • This scholarship is sponsored by Diamond V with a maximum value of $5,000 ($1,250 per semester over 2 years).

  • Awarded to a rising Junior undergraduate student in the field of Poultry Science.

  • Awarded based on scholastic achievement and service alongside interest/knowledge of the role the poultry industry plays in feeding the world’s population.

  • Preference will be given to those who intend to pursue a graduate education in poultry science or a related field.
